Poor Daniel....
After discovering the truth about Tranquility's unfaithfulness, Daniel has run over to see Derek and confront him. Derek is completely honest and tells Daniel all the sordid details he never wanted to hear.
At the end of Derek's explanation he offers to give Tranquility back to Daniel, that is, let Daniel betroth her. Yet Daniel stands firm in his decision to let Derek betroth her, though he never wanted to in the first place. Daniel reasons that this must be truly what Tranquility wants.

We're not done with Daniel, but we'll go and cry with him a little later, for right now we're off to see Sarah grill Tranquility and find out why her daughter has purposely hurt so many people and the true cause behind her actions!
