Why Artists Should Get Paid
Artists work extremely hard to finish a commission. Whether they work digitally on a computer or traditionally with a pen and brush, all professional artists deserve respect. They also deserve to be paid with real money, not just with the promise of "exposure", for their hard work. But, why should people pay for art? Why should they pay artists for their hard work? After all, there are lots of free to view art on and off the web. If a person likes a certain image can just simply capture that image and print it out instead of buying it (which would be stealing).
Professional artists don't post their work for free so people can steal it, they post their work to promote themselves. Some images posted are samples of what artists is capable of, and other images posted are for sale. That way patrons can find the right artist to design what they want. Therefore, patrons must pay the commissioned artist.
Meeting a GoalHey everybody! Long time no hear from. I've been pretty busy with my writing and life in general.
I have this dream. It seems kind of silly but I've had it ever since I was a child.
That dream is to become a Designer and to sew the outfits I design.
Right now I have:
A good Sewing Machine
Lots of sewing stuff, and my own sewing box
Lots of fabric, mostly lightweight
My own workroom
So far everything is going great! I just have one, small, problem.
I am missing a Dress Form.
It's pretty important when it comes to sewing projects, especially if I have no one but myself to use as a model for the dress. Unfortunately the Dress Form that I need is going to cost a Lot of money.
$400 US, which is about $515 Cad
So there is my goal.
I already have $175 Cad.
All Designs and Commissions will be $4 US or $5 Cad.

Spreading My Wings SomeWhat's up everyone! I've spent the majority of this weekend working on some cool stuff for you guys. If you look at my DA profile you'll see I've put up a chintzy menu of sorts, with buttons that link back to my twitter, instagram, and tumblr - as well as a WIP website!! Yes, on my website I plan to release some projects of mine I've been working on for years, including books, short stories, and comics/graphic novels. I've got a lot of cool ideas I'm excited to share with you guys! They'll probably be in my journal next week.

This may seem like a morbid pastime, but it's actually a great way to reassess our own lives. We're each going to leave a testimony of some kind when we die.
